NBA stars have gathered in Las Vegas this week for the start of a quick Team USA minicamp, which will include nothing more than three days of meetings and practice. That all sounds fairly boring, especially when you consider Team USA won't be competing again until next summer at The World Cup of Basketball in China from August 31 to September 15, 2019.
With the players not even scheduled to take part in an exhibition game, the Team USA minicamp shouldn't have been all that noteworthy. But then an unflattering photo of John Wall surfaced, and #NBATwitter ran with it. The comments on the photo, originally posted by the Washington Wizards, were so harsh that the Wizards went ahead and just deleted the entire tweet. Of course, screenshots never die.
For what it's worth, several members of Team USA took bad photos today, but it's definitely Wall's that is drawing the most attention. Scroll down to check out some of the instant reactions to the pic.
