UFC star Conor McGregor is apparently looking to be the next man who cashes in on an exhibition bout against Japanese kickboxing champion Tenshin Nasukawa.
Following Nasukawa's exhibition boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, in which Mayweather reportedly earned $9 million for 139 seconds of work, McGregor tweeted that he hopes to go to Tokyo before this summer for an MMA exhibition.
On top of that, Cris Cyborg is also interested in taking advantage of any exhibition opportunities in Tokyo - specifically if it's the same card that McGregor is on. Cyborg recently dropped her title to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232 in a shocking 51 second first round knockout.
McGregor, who recently announced the birth of his second child, is still suspended from the UFC following the chaotic brawl that occurred after his loss to Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
Last month, the Nevada State Athletic Commission officials unanimously granted Nurmagomedov a continuance in the UFC 229 case at the monthly meeting in Las Vegas. McGregor's camp was previously granted a continuance in his case, and now both fighters are scheduled to appear before the court at the next NSAC meeting on January 29.
