Drake's Scorpion may have been met with lukewarm response by most people but that hasn't stopped anyone from actually listening to it on repeat. The rapper's been killing both the charts and the streaming world with his new project but that doesn't even come across as something even remotely surprising. Since the beginning of the year, Drake's pretty much dominated the charts with singles like "God's Plan," "Nice For What" and more recently, "In My Feelings." However, if the rapper's new album tops the Billboard 200 next week -- which it likely will -- he'll have claimed the most weeks at number one in 2018.
Drake's Scorpion is predicted to top the Billboard 200 for a fourth week in a row. If this happens, Drake will claim the most amount of weeks at the top of the chart for the year. Drake's latest opus is currently tied with Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentley's and the Kendrick Lamar curated Black Panther: The Album for most weeks on top of the chart this year. Scopion is expected to earn over 180K equivalent album units by the end of the week ending on July 26th.
Earlier this week, Drake was spotted in New Orleans working on the music video for his chart topping single, "In My Feelings." The rapper was spotted alongside Big Freedia -- who he sampled on "Nice For What" -- and Shiggy earlier this week while on set for the video. Hopefully, it arrives in the coming weeks.
