It was a rough day for the Bears kicker.

It was a nightmare scenario for Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey on Sunday. The Bears were taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in their NFC Wild-Card match up. With the Bears coming into the game at 12-4 and the Eagles 9-7, it was safe to say the Bears were the favorite. Their offense struggled and with seconds left, they were down 16-15 but had one last chance to win with a 43-yard field goal.

Parkey kicked the ball, but it was barely tipped and hit the post than the crossbar, but never made it. With that one play, the Bears lost the game and all the blame was put on the kicker.

"You can't make this up," Parkey said, according to ESPN. "I feel terrible. I let the team down. That's on me. I have to own it. I have to be a man. Unfortunately, that's the way it went today."

After the game, Parkey ran off the field and was booed by the upset Bears fans in the process. Despite the missed field goal, Parkey still made three kicks on Sunday.

With the loss, the Bears season is now over, while the Eagles get to play the New Orleans Saints next weekend.
