Sneaker brands like Nike, Jordan, and Adidas have been known for creating a Black History Month collection every February. It's nothing new and has been a long-standing tradition in the sneaker world. While these kicks aren't always popular, they rarely cause any controversy. That changed for Adidas this year when they released an Uncaged Ultraboost for Black History Month, that had absolutely no color on them and was actually all-white.
There were little details of color here and there, but the shoes still received some pretty heavy criticism which forced Adidas to release a statement and pull the shoes from the market.

"Adidas released a new collection in celebration of Black History Month featuring designs inspired by the Harlem Renaissance. It includes footwear and apparel across a variety of categories. Toward the latter stages of the design process, we added a running shoe to the collection that we later felt did not reflect the spirit or philosophy of how adidas believes we should recognize and honor Black History Month. After careful consideration, we have decided to withdraw the product from the collection."
As of right now, these are still available on SSENSE and the real Black History Month pack will release on February 5th.
