You'll recall a snippet of an upcoming French Montana song being shared early this month that features Drake throwing some shade at Kanye West, uttering "I told her don't wear no 350's 'round me," in reference to Ye's sneakers. Shortly after the clip started making the rounds, Kanye apologized for pretty much everything that might have gone wrong in his relationship with Drizzy. Drake seemingly accepted the apology and noted that Kanye's request to attend one of the 6ix God's upcoming shows would be granted. Despite the dramatic context behind that single lyric, we'll finally get to hear the full song this Thursday as French Montana just announced that "No Stylist" is dropping this week.
"My official single #NOSTYLIST coming out this Thursday, Sept 20 ft. My brother @champagnepapi," wrote Montana as he showed off the official cover art. Posing to the side of Slick Rick, who was also spotted at the music video shoot, French rocks about a hundred pounds in jewelry as he smiles in the "Fresh Prince" style shot.
It's unclear if any changes were made to the song after Kanye's apology but we're not expecting the line in question to be removed. It's certain that ears will be paying close attention to Drake's verse to see if any other digs are made at Ye.
The two previously collaborated on "No Shopping" and this could be a veritable sequel to their 2016 record. From the sounds of the preview, it will be an absolute slapper and we're excited to hear the whole thing.
