Stranger Things season 3 is fast approaching. As the vague release date "2019" nears, the irregular drip of information has become more steady. Today, the titles of each episode in the upcoming season were released in a short teaser video: "Suzie, Do You Copy?" "The Mall Rats," "The Case of the Missing Lifeguard," "The Sauna Test," "The Source," "The Birthday," "The Bite," and "The Battle of Starcourt."
The battle to occur at "Starcourt" is likely a reference to the Starcourt Mall, a trailer for which was released on the Stranger Things Twitter account back in July. It was touted as "one of the finest shopping facilities in America and beyond" with stores including The Gap and Scoops Ahoy ice cream shop, where Steve works.
The battle at Starcourt has also been teased in the video for the forthcoming Stranger Things 3: The Game, the 16-bit interactive accompaniment of the new season:
For those who are annoyed with how long it's taking for a new season to release (many expected October 2018, a year after the previous one), Netflix's Vice President of Original Content, Cindy Holland, had this to say:
Well, it’s a hand-crafted show," Holland said. "You know, the Duffer brothers and Shawn Levy have worked really hard and they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. And so, they really want to take the time to get it right. I think it’s gonna be a fantastic season, it’s gonna be worth the wait.
