Jimmy Butler was finally traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves this past week, and he landed on the Philadelphia 76ers. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid were already poised to be a powerhouse pairing with the help of Markelle Fultz, but Butler pushes the team over the "stacked" quota. The only teams in the East that may stand a chance against the new 76ers are the Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors (never sleep on Kawhi Leonard). In his first press conference as a 76er, Butler broke down what his new team can expect from him.
“When guys go out there and they know how to play basketball, which everybody on this roster does, it’s all going to fall into place," stated Butler. "I don’t think that anybody is going to step on anybody’s toes. I think everybody still has the same job to do and everybody’s expected to be the same player that they’ve always been.” He continued onto claim that he isn't about drama and that he's a genuinely good guy.
“I think if a player had a problem with me they would (say it)," Butler revealed. "Unless everybody in my past locker rooms were just that fake, I don’t think that I was a problem at all. I don’t think I’m a bad teammate but people get whatever they want to say out. I think I’m an incredible human being, teammate, and I will show that to the guys here.”
