Our beloved Ms. Lauryn Hill is back on her bullshit. Fans clearly carry a loyalty for this artist that only a few others have earned in a similar way. She, unfortunately, stands to lose this type of ride-or-die mindset they have upheld despite multiple instances of disappointment.
Over the past few years, Hill's reputation has been stained by her perpetual lateness in addition to her inclination for canceling shows altogether. After bestowing this type of disappointment onto her Toronto fans last week, the singer has now decided to cancel some dates of her anniversary tour, "due to unforeseen production issues."
The following dates of the Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill 20th Anniversary Tour are no more: July 25 (Charlotte, N.C.); July 26 (Raleigh, N.C.); July 29 (St. Petersburg, Florida), and; August 2 (Jacksonville, Florida). The Miami show that was originally planned for July 31 has been rescheduled to October 15. The original tickets will be honored.
The Toronto showgoers were disappointed with their experience enough to make some noise about it. Complaints included the sound quality, her epic lateness among other kinds of professional missteps. Hopefully, the rest of the dates will take place uninterrupted and live up to the expectations of those who have spent good money for the experience.
