Del The Funky Homosapien gives fans an update on his condition.

A while back, underground legend Del The Funky Homosapien found himself hospitalized after falling from a stage during a Gorillaz concert. Sadly, the damage was rather severe, leaving Del hospitalized in the middle of Denmark. At the time, the Roskilde Festival issued a response, writing "He was seen on site by a doctor and went to the hospital for further investigation. He’s conscious and talking to his team.” Afterward, Del confirmed that he was fine, but would indeed be confined to the hospital for an undetermined amount of time.

Now, Del has reached out to HipHopDX to give an update to his situation. “I’m doing ok,” he states. “I’m still in a lot of pain. I’m on pain meds. I fractured seven ribs and punctured my lung. I had to have surgery. I had a tube in my lung pumping the blood and air out. I also had a epidural in my back to inject morphine directly to my bloodstream. After about five days, they let me out the hospital. I’m in Denmark until I’m cleared for flight. Will be here for maybe about another week.”

It's alarming to hear exactly how severe the damage ultimately turned out to be, but we're relieved to hear that Del will be coming home in the near future. Be sure to send your prayers to the Homosapien, as he may very well need them in this trying time. Shout out to Del for lacing my childhood Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 memories with some good vibes.
