The back-and-forth between Tory Lanez and Joyner Lucas was one of the most exciting hip-hop moments of this year. While it's still fresh in our minds, the two have seemingly played nice for a few weeks. After exchanging a handful of diss records, Tory and Joyner took a short break but now, the Massachusetts rapper is back on his grind.
During an Instagram live session, Joyner Lucas made sure to poke fun at his rival Tory Lanez after nominations were announced for the Grammy awards. If you paid attention to the list, you likely noticed that Joyner was included a few times as the video for "I'm Not Racist" will be celebrated at the ceremony. On top of that, the artist has also got a second nomination by association as Eminem's "Lucky You," which features Joyner, is up for an award. Lucas got petty with Tory Lanez, shouting him out and then seriously wondering if the Canadian was nominated at all for the upcoming awards show. "Tory, you was nominated for a Grammy this year?" asks Joyner. "I don't know. I was just wondering and shit since you got me my first plaque right, I just wanted to know if you was nominated this year for anything."
Tory Lanez released two solid projects in the last twelve months but he was not nominated for a Grammy award. What's the tally now? This has to be considered a W for Joyner.
