Both The Weeknd and 2 Chainz delivered new albums yesterday, September 10th, and today we have the projections for either project.
This is 2 Chainz sophomore effort, following a very well-received debut, Based On A T.R.U. Story. Will Tity Boi's second installment live up to the first? By the looks of things, sales are not. The Hair Weave Killa is on course to sell only 55,000 - 65,000 -- compare this to 147,000 opening week with his first album.
The Weeknd, on the other hand, is keeping in line with the numbers he moved for his first major label release (slightly higher, in fact), Trilogy. Kiss Land is projected to sell 90,000 - 100,000 copies.
In addition, another release this week, Janelle Monae's Electric Lady, is likely going to push 45,000 - 50,000 units.
We'll update you once the official numbers are in. Which album will you be purchasing?
