Yung Miami's recent comments have landed her under fire once more.

Like many influential figures before her, Yung Miami of rap duo City Girls is learning that the Internet never forgets. Earlier this year, old tweets in which the rapper said she thought Haitian people to be "black ugly and cheesy” and declared that she does not want her son to gay resurfaced. Unsurprisingly, Miami became the subject of a great deal of backlash as many perceived her tweets to be offensive and homophobic.

Ultimately, the emcee issued an apology reading, "My deepest apologies and heart goes out to those who have [read] that tweet and were offended by that. The City Girls appreciate all of their support no matter what their sexuality is." She went on to say,  “The comments I made about Haitians [were wrong] and [it was] immature to even let my opinion about an individual person be my opinion about an entire culture."

In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the emcee addressed the tweet in which she stated, “Boy Oh Boy. If I Ever See Any Gay Shit In My Son Imma Beat That Bo So Baddd." She clarified the reasoning behind it saying, “I didn’t tweet nothing about them [the LGBTQ community], I was just talking about my son. I just said that if I saw anything gay in my son, that I would beat him.”

Her words seem to have enraged her critics further and raised the question of whether the negative publicity may impact the success City Girls' album Girl Code which is set to drop this Friday. Have a look at some of the tweets below and click here to watch her interview.
