Will and Jada Smith have unfortunately been dragged into Duane and Tisha Campbell Martin‘s divorce and bankruptcy. According to The Blast Will and Jada once loaned Duane over $1 million and now their names are being drawn since Duane is being accused of hiding $2.6 million under a company named Roxe LLC.
According to the publication, the trustee alleges that Duane set up Roxe LLC to get ownership of a mansion. After paying $900,000 in 2006 for the home, he then borrowed over a million from the bank for construction on the house. He allegedly defaulted on his loan, then used his company to buy back his home using the money borrowed from Will and Jada. Roxe LLC then owned the home, and Duane and Tisha entered into a deal with their own company to rent the mansion for $5,000 a month.
Earlier this year, the Above The Rim actor listed the home for $2,695,000 with intention of keeping the profit, including the money owed to Will and Jada that would total $1.3 million if sold at asking price.
The trustee believes the lease by Roxe LLC was a scam and urges Duane to turn over his assets to pay his creditors.
