Nothing about the Donald Trump presidency has been anything close to normal in the almost two years since he became president. One very strange, and somewhat obnoxious, aspect of his winning the election has been the constant feud between him and almost every comedian in Hollywood. Trump has had beef with Alec Baldwin, Kathy Griffin, and Michelle Wolf, and the legion on TV comedians have taken their shots right back at him.
The latest attempt by a comedian to expose Trump is Tom Arnold's new show on Viceland, The Hunt for the Trump Tapes. Inspired by Trump's notorious "Access Hollywood Tape," Arnold is seeking to dig up more dirt on the president, with the help of an unlikely source. Arnold claims that he's enlisted the help of beleaguered Trump lawyer, Michael Cohen.
"We’ve been on the other side of the table and now we’re on the same side," said Arnold in an interview with NBC News. "It's on! I hope he [Trump] sees the picture of me and Michael Cohen and it haunts his dreams."
Arnold also posted a picture of the two of them together in a hotel lobby.
"This dude has all the tapes, this dude has everything," Arnold added.
Cohen for his part, has completely denied talking to Arnold about Trump, or even being on his show in the first place.
We'll have to wait until the show drops to see who's telling the truth here. Honestly, if Arnold doesn't produce the "pee tape," this will probably just be a waste of time.
