Migos might be credited for inventing that triplet flow. Still, who could've predicted the honors they received last night at the "signature urban music event, the 31st annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards." All three members of the group were presented with the "Vanguard" award for pushing boundaries within the genre of hip-hop, expanding the possibilities for other artists. Previous winners of the prestigious award include the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Beastie Boys, Diplo, Janelle Monáe, and Santigold. Quavo was set apart from the pack thanks to his songwriting skills. The rapper tied with Gucci Mane for the "Rhythm & Soul Music Songwriter of the Year." Amongst the notable tracks that led to this decision were “Black Beatles” and “Both” for Gucci. “Bad and Boujee” and “Good Drank” were named for Quavo.
