The model and newlywed took to Instagram with some candid words.

The comment sections can be a great source of anxiety. Among many things, the Internet provides users with anonymity making it rather simple for those who wish to leave negative and at times damaging comments to do so without being held accountable. Successful model Hailey Baldwin took to her Instagram earlier today with a poignant post proving that even some of the most accomplished people are not immune to the impacts of negative comments.

In a recent series of posts featured in her Instagram story, Baldwin described feeling "immediate anxiety" upon logging on to her Instagram account. "Being off Instagram is the best thing ever," she wrote. "Whenever I take breaks from it I feel so much better so much [happier] as a person.. the second I come back on I get immediate anxiety, I get sad and I get worked up."

Despite bringing attention to the obvious downfalls of using Instagram, Hailey made sure to highlight its benefits mentioning that it allows her to  "stay in touch" and "interact with others," but then revealed that she often questions whether having to dodge the constant backlash and scrutiny is truly worth it. "The negativity screams so loud," she continued.  "It's hard to focus on your well being and mental health when each time you open Instagram someone is tearing apart your job, or your relationship or essentially any of the things in your life that are positive." She completed her post with an empowering message stating, "I just don't believe we're called to live a life where we're so easily caught up in strangers opinions on something they have NOTHING to do with. We need to take a step back and realize we need to express more love and encouragement to one another instead of consistently tearing people down and judging."

"I won't let people make me feel like I'm doing something wrong by enjoying my life and being happy."
