The City of Hope Gala that took place in Santa Monica, California last week was a special day for music executive Jon Platt since he was being honoured for his outstanding contributions to the music, film and entertainment industry. Jay Z awarded Jon the special plaque after sharing a speech with the 1,000-some attendees while Beyonce took the stage to perform for Jon who she had worked with since 2005.
Other music makers that attended the special evening was Bey's best friend Kelly Rowland as well as Usher, Pharrell and more. "It was my pleasure to honor my friend Jon Platt for all the good work he does for The City of Hope," Beyonce captioned one of her many Instagram photos.
