Rappers like A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie with personal ties with Tekashi 6ix9ine have followed in Tory Lanez' footsteps by joining the "Free Tekashi 6ix9ine" circulating the Web. If you haven't noticed, petitions are making the rounds - tasked with gaining the Judge's attention long enough to barter for Tekashi's temporary leave. Social advocacy platforms like change.org have become ground zero for the movement, as 6ix9ine's attorney Lance Lazzaro readies a loot bag filled with $1.5 million in allocated "bail money."

Tory Lanez was among the first (public figures) to lend a voice to the cause, with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodiefollowing suit a couple hours later on nearly-identical grounds. A Boogie's insisted that his followers sign the very same petition Tory Lanez put forward in the morning, in a far more instructive manner. Like Tory, A Boogie is aligned with the maligned-rapper on the basis of shared commitments: "Swervin" on his latest project Hoodie SZN, as well as "WAKA" and "KEKE" from Tekashi's two cumulative projects to date.

While the "Free Tekashi 6ix9ine" was in its nascent phase, much of the ground support was coming from fans and subway-wrestlers. Viral video content was sprouting up in support of the cause (before it had a label), almost at the same frequency with which TMZ was delivering live updates on the pre-trial. As you might know, Tekashi's in-court character defense is scheduled to begin in September. I'm sure he wholeheartedly appreciates the support of friends/collaborators like Tory and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
