President Donald Trump has once again become the subject of a mass twitter roast. One could argue that by virtue of his character and past decisions, Trump is constantly the butt of a joke somewhere in the world, however, a revelation made in a recent 60 Minutes interview with the president has united Trump critics alike in a collaborative effort.
The aforementioned interview, conducted by Leslie Stahl, took place in the Oval Office and saw the former The Apprentice presenter discussing a myriad of topics ranging from Russia's involvement in the 2016 elections, and current Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh. Several people who watched the interview made the astute observation that there was a rather unusual painting hanging on the wall. The painting in question features a noticeably slimmed down Trump seated amongst other Republican presidents Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, Gerald Ford, Warren G. Harding, Richard Nixon, Calvin Coolidge, and both Bushes.
The painting is the work of artist Andy Thomas. It was reportedly gifted to Trump by Republican representative Darell Issa, and has evidently grown to occupy an important place in Trump's heart, and the oval office. It has also made for some hilarious tweets - catch some of the action below.
