Earlier this year, multinational mass media giant Disney announced that it was in the midst of casting actors for its up and coming live-action adaptation of Kim Possible. Many remember Kim Possible as a staple television show from their childhoods and naturally, news of its revival has been met with mass anticipation. Shortly after its initial announcement, Disney revealed that it had cast Sadie Stanley as the story's heroine Kim Possible and Sean Giambrone, known for his work in The Goldbergs, in the role of Kim's best friend, sidekick, and love interest, Ron Stoppable.
This week, Disney revealed that the project will premiere early next year on Friday, February 15th at 8PM ET/PT on both the Disney Channel and the streaming application DisneyNOW. The movie is set to take on Kim Possible's story through a unique storyline which begins in the halls of Middleton High School where Kim and Ron attempt thrive in an intimidating social setting. The friends struggle to find their footing, but their luck seems to turn around when they befriend a new student and Kim Possible superfan named Athena. The trio joins forces to form Team Possible and together, face the iniquitous villains Drakken and Shego.
