Lucki drops off some hazy new vibes.

Lucki has remained a hero on the independent circuit, Eks or no Eks. Having undergone a drastic stylistic change, the Chicago rapper has continuously done right by his vision, regardless of concerns some supporters may have voiced. Now, the rapper has come forth with yet another installment of the Freewave series, rounding out a trilogy for good measure. Freewave 3 features Earl Sweatshirt and a noted presence from producer CHASETHEMONEY, who has been on somewhat of a destructive tear of late.

"I like money, I like perkies, it ain't hard to see," raps Lucki, on the hazy jam "Of Course You Won't." Such a declaration feels like a thesis statement for Lucki, who navigates all manner of instrumentals with a hazy, yet sharpened flow. Drugs seem to be a prominent theme in the rapper's playbook, so should you be wary of such topics, you'd best look elsewhere. Yet like a true alchemist, Lucki knows what mixes and what does not. The end result is an easily digestible concoction with many hallucinatory side-effects.
