Meek Mill loses his latest battle to unseat Judge Brinkley.

Meek Mill lost his latest appeal to have Judge Genece Brinkley removed from her seat. Yesterday afternoon, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied a motion filed by Meek Mill's legal team to have her removed from his case on grounds that she was biased. Even though it was rejected in principle, Meek & his attorneys still have the option of resubmitting the motion to a lower court, a move Meek’s lawyer Joe Tacopina has already vowed they will pursue to the bitter end.

“While the Pennsylvania Supreme Court declined to immediately hear our application to reassign Meek’s case to a new judge, we understand the Court wants us to go through the normal course of appeals to the Superior Court and we intend to do just that,” Meek’s lawyer Joe Tacopina said in a statement.

As you know, Judge Brinkley handed Meek a 2-4 year prison sentence in November 2017, which was later commuted after a wave of protests from the public and high ranking officials. After stating his legal team's course of action, Meek's attorney Joe Tacopina reaffirmed his team's commitment to rectifying "this grave miscarriage of justice."

Meek recently spoke of his time in prison on Wrongful Conviction with Jason Flom, a podcast firmly devoted to calling out criminal injustice. On the podcast he he likened his prison experience, to cruel treatment "you wouldn't do to your pets."
