Aside from simply knowing that Chance the Rapper and Kanye West have been in the studio together this summer, not much has been revealed about the nature of their collaborations. Good Ass Job was being shopped as a title for one of Yeezy's earlier albums, closing out the scholastic theme he had going on in College Dropout, Late Registration, and Graduation. Although Kanye's profession can certainly be classified as a "good ass job," a project of the same name never saw the light of day. A few years ago, it was announced that the title would be saved for a collaborative album between Chano and Ye and with a 7-song project in the works, we may finally be receiving it soon. From the looks of Chance's Instagram page, it could be coming imminently.
Lil Chano from 79th uploaded a post to his profile, simply writing "Good Ass Job," and adding fuel to the speculative fire. Could the project finally be ready? There is barely any available information pertaining to the follow-up to Coloring Book but it feels like we may be in for a treat... unless Chance is just trolling.
Kanye has also been sneaking in some previews on his own renewed page, playing snippets to some of his unreleased material. It's unclear whether some of the work is slated for Good Ass Job but we hope one of the two comes through with some details.
