Earlier this year, Night School Actress Tiffany Haddish grabbed headlines for revealing that a certain, un-named actress bit Beyonce at a private party. Speculation surrounding the identity of the biter immediately took off with Haddish refusing to dispel any further details after famously being served with a legal contract. As Beyonce put it in "Top Off," "If they're tryna party with the queen, they gon' have to sign a non-disclosure."
While at the City of Hope gala in Los Angeles this past weekend, Tiffany spoke to Variety about her relationship with the iconic songstress. Indicating that the two were cordial and on good terms, Haddish shared “We’re not BFFs — we haven’t braided each other’s hair or anything, but we cool." Tiffany joined Beyonce, her husband Jay Z and a number of other influential members of the entertainment industry at the gathering celebrating the accomplishments of Jon Platt, the current chairman and CEO of Warner/Chappell Music Publishing and soon-to-be chief of Sony/ATV.
Platt has become a staple in the music industry and has also made considerable philanthropic strides. The maven has worked hard to support medical research and treatment efforts for individuals grappling with cancer and diabetes. While speaking to Variety ahead of the event, Platt said, "The fact that I’m being honored is actually the small part of the story — the big part of the story is that we’re able to touch so many lives because of tonight." He went on to reveal, “My son has type 1 diabetes, there’s a personal connection. But the technology and the research has come a long way from where it was years ago, and it’s going to be even better as we move forward. That personally will affect my son’s life, so I’m quite happy about that,” he shared.
