By now the subject of Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse is almost stale, and we've heard from almost everyone mentioned in the verse (plus those who weren't). One of the rappers we've yet to hear from who received a name-drop is Big K.R.I.T.
Krizzle, ever a humble rapper, shows his appreciation for getting a shout-out from K. Dot and talks about how it actually helped him gain new fans.
"It's one of those things that I appreciated the promotion for one, he mentioned me, and a lot of people like 'why the fuck he say Big K.R.I.T. name?' And then they went and checked out my music, they went and heard "1Train" and now they understand," K.R.I.T. said.
He went on to say he didn't take it as a diss, it's just part of the game. "For me it was one of those things that I appreciate-- I ain't take it seriously as a diss, hip-hop is competitive, but I am a competitor. This is a gladiator kinda sport," the rapper explained.
"There ain't no goddamn beef. Hell nah," he added. "It's like a respect."
