Eminem has finally discovered the mindless joys of digital age technology. As expressed on Marshall Mathers LP 2 cut "So Far," Em's relationship with technology has been dubious at best. Putting a first person shooter in his hands would no doubt reveal a man unable to grasp dual-joystick mechanics. Luckily, his reluctance to evolve with the times have blossomed into a full-fledged embrace. Back in April, Eminem managed to wrest control of his social media presence from the vigilant hands of manager Paul Rosenberg, resulting in a spree of unapologetic dad-like selfies.
Now, in the midst of a "date Nick Minaj" campaign, which he himself has emerged as an advocate, Em has come through with another signature picture. This time, he's posted up with Beastie Boys legend Mike D, captioning the image with "Fight for your right to selfie." It would appear the dad jokes come with the territory.
Suffice it to say, the picture is somewhat of a legendary affair, given the talent involved. You might recall Eminem namedropping the emcee on "Cum On Everybody," where he rapped "hot bitches on my jock out in East Detroit, cause they think that I'm a motherfuckin' Beastie Boy, so I told 'em I was Mike D, they was like, "Gee, I don't know, he might be!"
Check out the picture below, and expect the future to yield more where that came from.
