RIP
Twenty-year-old up-and-coming rapper Marley G is the reported casualty of a shooting in Louisiana.

Marley G, a twenty-year-old artist signed to Rap-a-Lot Records has reportedly been shot to death in a nightclub setting. The details of the incident are scarce, but fans began pouring out messages of sympathy on social media. Marley G, not to be confused with the Marley referenced by Lil Wayne, was a label to YBN Nahmir and YBN Almighty Jay, who were the first two prominent figures to confirm his untimely death on Instagram.

Over the course of the summer, Marley G's single "I Got 'Em" was in rotation in select regions, his unlocked potential and his association with an iconic record label proving just as advantageous as his late-season push. Numerous rap fans who were never fully-acquainted have reacted indiscriminately to the news as a byproduct of some larger conspiracy. For the time being, there's a hope his music can be enjoyed for a short time before he can be properly memorialized.

The names associated with the current management team at Rap-a-Lot have yet to comment on Marley's killing. It would appear, the shooting is still wrapped up in a local police investigation. His death has also been confirmed by an Instagram who claims to be his girlfriend (at the time of his passing).
