Tekashi 6ix9ine may be the "king of New York" but he's also the king of skits. The artist has been tearing up the Billboard charts and he's promising to hit the Hot 100 for the tenth time with his upcoming single "STOOPID" but he's also had some dark times this year. Tekashi claims he was nearly killed after being kidnapped and robbed of his jewelry a few months ago. He's managed to reclaim all of the accessories that were taken from him and he's beefed up his security by a lot, but incidents like that are not things that just disappear from your memory. Tek chose to partner up with NY Tent Sale, recreating the scene of his kidnapping to get people talking about "the largest sneaker store in the world."
In the clip, Tekashi exits a car to relieve himself and gets ran up on by a dude who puts a shopping bag over the rapper's head. Next thing you know, 6ix9ine is tied up with Nike x Off-White shoelaces as he sits in the middle of a large warehouse. The scene is a sneakerhead's dream with Nike boxes piled up on racks behind him. He manages to untie himself so he can walk around the shop, falling in love with a pair of Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 97's. Thankfully, it was all just a dream as a member of his team woke him up when they arrived at the actual shop. A pretty cliché way to end the screenplay but 6ix9ine is just getting started as a filmmaker.
There's no word yet on what Tekashi copped but we're sure he left with a few pairs on top of the bag he received for plugging NY Tent Sale.
