Sophie Turner, star of 'Dark Phoenix,' speaks to fans at Entertainment Weekly's panel at The Studio at New York Comic Con on October 6, 2018 in New York City.
The X-Men & Avengers have different vibes.

Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner will take center stage as Dark Phoenix in the upcoming X-Men film of the same name. During New York Comic Con last weekend, Turner sat down for the Entertainment Weekly in the Studio panel, where she discussed several topics about the upcoming X-Men flick. The gorgeous and talented actress answered as many questions as she could from several media outlets, but one question stuck out among the others.

As reported by NewsWeek, Turner was asked about the MCU, and how the X-Men would fit alongside the Avengers. Since Disney purchased 21st Century Fox, the team of mutants will one day be in the same film as Black Panther, Thor, Iron-Man, and the rest of the squad. "I don’t know. I feel the complexities of the X-men being shunned by society and segregated is not something that happens in the Avengers universe," Turner admitted. She does have a point. The X-Men's stories, both in the comics and on screen, have always been focused around humanity's fear of what they can't understand. The Avengers, on the other hand, are mostly worshipped for their abilities. "Of course, I want to see them crossover but I don't think the themes through X-men will collaborate well with the Avengers," she continued.  "It’ll be very different. If they do it, I’d love to see how it turns out."
