Halsey decided against attending the VMAs Monday night, which caused her fans to ask why she'd opted out of the event. According to the singer, it "didn't feel right" to attend the event, considering MTV is happy to support her as a #WCW on their social accounts, but didn't feel the need to nominate her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom videos, all of which she co-directed.
At the end of the day, Halsey isn't looking for accolades from anyone but her fans. "I’m happy you guys liked the videos. That’s all that matters to me," she said.
Halsey's videos for "Now Or Never," "Bad At Love," and "Sorry" were all co-directed by Halsey with Sing J Lee. The video for "Alone" was co-directed by Halsey with Hannah Lux Davis.
In July, Halsey appeared on the Benny Blanco single "Eastside" alongside Khalid. She has only one date remaining on her ambitious world tour; a London show with Raye and Alma set for September 22nd.
