Ariana Grande has announced a sort of social media hiatus to her fans. The star shared this decision with her fans only hours after her fiance, Pete Davidson, had done the same. The negativity spewed by members of her following became so great that they both felt the need to withdraw from posting and engaging online as they used to. Davidson is taking a break from Instagram, wiping away all of his posts, while Grande is focusing her engagement on Snapchat.
After one of her fans noticed her return to the app and tweeted about it, Ariana stated her intentions.
"yeh ! i’m prolly gonna post on der for a little while & take a breather from twitter & ig for a little. just sometimes can’t help but bump into some negative shit that really can bum u out and it’s not worth it honestly. promised i’d always tell you. i love u sm ! be well & happy"
When another follower apologized on behalf of those who had caused the unpleasant situations that lead to Ariana's decision, the singer responded with love.
i know that like the back of my hand. i grew up w a lot of u. ur my family. it’s jus noise. know how grateful i am and how deeply i know that and appreciate u. ♡ issa forever situation.
Everything in moderation might be the couple's new motto. The timing is perfect given Ariana Grande's album rollout. "Sweetener" drops next month.
