ADÉ, formerly known to hip-hop audiences as Phil Ade, has enlisted the help of two of the DMV's finest talents: Wale and GoldLink - born and raised on plenty of Mumbo Sauce. "Something Real" comes into place neatly as the flagship on ADÉ's brand new Always Something EP, released under the Epic Records consortium. As it stands, Wale and GoldLink aren't the only prominent figures to have lent their voice to the record, as Lil Baby, Rich The Kid and Fatman Scoop take up valuable real estate on the 6-track EP.
Interestingly enough, this isn't ADÉ first rodeo in the realm of self-discovery, as his catalogue already boasts a purely introspective record titled "Something True" as part of the #PhilAdeFriday giveaway synonymous with the "previous regime." Personally-speaking, "realness" and "true" are intrinsically different, especially in the heat of emotional upheaval.
ADÉ seems to have endured enough of this so-called "emotional upheaval" to distinguish one property from the other. ADÉ's subtle name change is in itself a strong indicator of "upheaval," but on the mildest of terms. Sometimes us warmongering types shave our heads, other times, it's something as innocuous as a working pseudonym that goes the way of the wind.

Grammy wishin’ to a Grammy nom’, fuckin’ with me so much, met your mom.
