Juice WRLD was undoubtedly a dominant force in hip-hop this year. After signing to Interscope, the rapper began to take over the rap game with his singles, "Lucid Dreams" and "All Girls Are The Same" -- the latter ultimately became his first top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite the chart accomplishments, Soundcloud is still his biggest platform. Soundcloud released their stats for their year-in-review and Juice WRLD came out on top on numerous fronts.
Juice WRLD has gained commercial success throughout the year, but he managed to attain that through Soundcloud. Now that the year is nearing it's end, Juice WRLD has come out on top as Soundcloud's Top Artist. Additionally, he also scored Top Track of the year with his single, "Lucid Dreams" which has been flirting with the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks. The track earned 123M plays within the past year.
Unfortunately, his hit single dealt with some controversy over the past few months. Although Sting praised Nick Mira and Juice WRLD for the way they flipped his track "Shape Of My Heart," the "Lucid Dream" producer alleged the legendary singer took 85% of the song's revenue and continued to threaten them to take them to court for taking any money. However, Juice WRLD has since responded to the controversy surrounding the song, saying, "Lost millions made millions...the song impacted to many ppl in a good way for me to be upset over it..there’s always more money to be made and I will make it so."
