Juice WRLD deftly shortens the barrier between hip-hop and emo.

Juice WRLD has managed to blend the worlds of emo and hip-hop with impressive efficiency. While many dubbed the emo genre dead in 2008, cremating their bandanas, studded belts, and diaries in a massive funeral pyre, Juice WRLD has come through with the resuscitation spell. Now, the Deathrace For Love rapper has unveiled the latest single from his upcoming album, the drunken ballad "Robbery." Classic Juice staples are present and accounted for, and expect many a young fan to line their IG captions with his musings.

"You always give me butterflies when you come around," he sings, before admitting he "gets high when you refuse to answer." The track itself might be somewhat of an acquired taste, especially for those unfamiliar with emo music, but it's safe to say that Juice has discovered a winning formula. "Robbery" might be his most impressive solo single to date, as he puts his heart on his sleeve with some bare-bones vocals. What do you think of this one?

Quotable Lyrics

You let me know love is not the answer
Not the answer, not the answer
I love to do drugs so mind my manners
I get high when you don't decide to answer
Phone home, I need to phone home
I'm throwing rocks at your window, I need to go home
I don't wanna leave
