Jhene Aiko was asked a very difficult but very important question by Power 106 this weekend: "If you could create a 2018 Destiny's Child, who would you choose?"
The singer had to think about it a bit, but eventually settled on a lineup. "Ok, so it would be Jhene Aiko, H.E.R., SZA, and Willow Smith!"
However, right after answering she decided that she wanted to add an additional member. "I'll make it more like the Spice Girls, actually," she said, before pondering her final choice. "I would also add... Taylor Swift," she said with a shrug.
Unfortunately, we'll probably never get to see this fantasy lineup of Destiny's Child, though it does raise the question, who would you assemble as the new generation of the iconic girl group? Let us know in the comments below.
It's likely that the question came about after Jhene Aiko shared a clip of herself singing "Killing Time," a deep cut off the group's debut album Destiny's Child (no wonder she went with four members rather than three). Watch the intimate performance here.
Earlier this month, Jhene shared a YG-assisted remix of "Never Call Me." The song originally appeared on her 2017 album Trip.
