The unfortunate passing of 17-year-old Antwon Rose is still being mourned by family and friends in Pittsburg and artists and community members alike on social media. Antown was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at a roadblock since police reported that the vehicle matched the same description as a car that was involved in a shooting earlier that night. Antown attempted to run away from police, but was shot three times in the back and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver in the vehicle was arrested and the third passenger got away. The unnamed officer who killed Antwon has been given administrative leave.
Nas, who just recently dropped off a new album with the second single titled "Cops Shot The Kid," has responded to the situation with one simple message: "Whoever killed him needs the electric chair in front of his family."
Nas added his statement to a photo on Antwon on Instagram. Check out the post below as well as other reactions and let us know what you think in the comments.
