BROCKHAMPTON has been experiencing some difficulties as of late. While their music's quality has not been affected by the in-house drama, their image took somewhat of a downfall after Ameer Vann, one of the more prominent members of the group, was accused of sexual assault. Stating late last month that Vann was no longer a member of the collective, BROCKHAMPTON is moving forward with what they had planned for this year. After dropping the Saturation trilogy last year, Kevin Abstract and the rest of the group have seemingly scrapped Puppy, the previously confirmed title of their next album. Instead, they announced that they will be dropping The Best Years of Our Lives instead.
Making their late night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, BROCKHAMPTON performed a brand new song for the live studio audience, utilizing many of their member's vocal talents. Performing "Tonya," Fallon claimed that the track will be included within the tracking of their next album. The song is not yet on streaming services but, with the first live performance in the books, it is bound to show up promptly for our consumption purposes.
It will be interesting to see how the group bounces back without Vann's contributions as he was one of the most skilled rappers of the boy band. Check out the song below and let us know how you're feeling about it.
