Saturday night, Ohio State University managed to pull themselves out of a halftime deficit to claim a victory over Texas Christian University by a score of 40-28. Trailing 14-13 by the middle of the match, the Buckeyes pulled out all of the stops to ensure a win in Arlington's At&T Stadium.
It would begin when Parris Campbell landed a 63-yard catch and run, grabbing the pass from Dwayne Haskins before outrunning the TCU defense to lock in the touchdown. The Buckeyes regained the lead when Dre'Mont Jones intercepted a pass and returned it 28 yards to score in the third quarter.
In the same quarter, Haskins would toss to K.J. Hill in the end zone to bring the game 33-21. The match, however, was an intense one that would find TCU's Horned Frogs coming back with a 75-yard touchdown drive before the Buckeyes responded with a 5-yard touchdown run in the fourth.
What makes OSU's performance so impressive is the fact that the squad was forced to play the remainder of the second half without Nick Bosa who had to leave the game in the third quarter after suffering a lower abdomen strain. Next up, Ohio State will go up against Tulane on September 22nd at home, this time with Urban Meyer whose suspension will be up while TCU will face off against Texas in its Big 12 opener.
