Gucci Mane came out of prison in 2016 a new man. The rapper made significant changes, both mentally and physically, prompting fans to believe that he's a clone. All of that to say, Gucci Mane's last bid behind bars was life-changing. Tekashi 6ix9ine is currently facing his fair share of legal issues lately after he was arrested on racketeering and firearms charge. Ahead of the release of Evil Genius, Gucci Mane popped by Real 92.3 to speak on Tekashi 6ix9ine's legal case and shared some words of wisdom.
Gucci Mane was behind bars for a while and now, he's sharing some advice for those going through the same struggle, specifically Tekashi 6ix9ine. "You know, always keep your head up [to] anybody locked up," he said before revealing that he's crossed paths with the rainbow-haired rapper on a few occasions.
"I met 6ix9ine before -- I don't really know him -- but he came to maybe two of my concerts and told me that he liked my music," he recalled. "I felt like, you know, that took a lot, just to come there, shake somebody hand... For that, I been saluting him for that since that day."
He added, "I hate to see anybody in that box, man."
While Gucci doesn't wish jail on anybody, he did reveal that he wrote a large chunk of Everybody Lookin' while he was incarcerated.
