SZA's gave an intimate showing at Camp Flog Gnaw Day 1.

SZA is often times her most vulnerable self while in concert. Last evening as she closed Day One of the Camp Flog Gnaw festivities, SZA didn't have to ask the audience for silence in moments of solemnity, a connection was already in place.

Before performing "20 Something," she took a moment to remember the life and career of Mac Miller, to whom she dedicated the song. The nod to Mac allowed her to tap into her emotional reservoir, thereby taking the concert experience to a higher register.

There was also a point during her set in which she addressed the inner-turmoil which has kept her away from the production line (see below). SZA's CTRL was skillfully handled, meaning, it would take another elongated period of digging for another album of its magnitude to hit the production line. SZA told the Camp Flog Gnaw crowd at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles, that after a period of "insanity" she felt it might be wise to drop some music. Take that for what you will, but it certainly is an indication that SZA hasn't "retired" from music, as some have suggested.

Day 2 of Tyler, the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw continues Tonight.
