The Canadian producer has built a respectable collection of hits, including Drake's "Nice For What," which currently sits at 3X platinum; it isn't uncommon to hear his iconic "Murda on the beat so it's not nice" tag on any given A-list album. Now, it would appear that the youngster is plotting his next move, which may very well include a noteworthy collaboration with one of the game's pioneers.
Murda took to Instagram to share footage of himself and Pharrell Williams, who previously ran the game during the early aughts; his work in The Neptunes alongside Chad Hugo helped establish new millennium production as a second golden era. Being twenty-four, it's entirely possible that Murda caught the tail end of Pharrell's peak run, and no doubt holds his contributions to hip-hop in high regard. Last night, the pair crossed paths, and likely decided a collaboration was the only logical conclusion.
