Tekashi 6ix9ine is impossibly hard to decrypt at times, in the age of sensationalism. In the precious moments leading up to a brush with gun violence at his video shoot with Kanye West, Tekashi washed away general concerns over his safety by doing what he does best: spending frivolous cash on "tasteful" jewelry.
The self-professed King of New York visited Johnny Dang in Los Angeles this past week to put the final touches on a custom 18-karat grill. The mouthpiece, costing him $45,000 flat, is enrobed in white gold and layered in diamonds, 585 in total. As you can see below, the diamonds are fastened in a gorgeous "honeycomb" tapestry - imperfections unimpressionable to the naked eye.
Johnny Dang, the noted jeweler (to the stars) that made the round trip to complete the grill, finished the job in less than hours after flying back from the consultation in Los Angeles. Dang met with Tekashi, flew back to his native Houston to complete the job in his workshop, before recommitting himself to the West Coast in order to deliver the custom grill in person, hours before the scary drive-by shooting.
Footage has since been leaked of the suspects firing into Tekashi's rented locale in Los Angeles, as law enforcement prolongs their investigation into the matter.
