For the majority of the year, Drake's held the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The three major singles from Scorpion all made their way to the top of the chart. "God's Plan" held the position for 11 weeks straight before being replaced by "Nice For What" which held the top spot for 11 weeks straight. Since the release of Scorpion, "Nice For What" has been leading the charts for over a month at this point and it doesn't look like it's going anywhere soon. Now, the single has logged in a eighth week atop the Billboard Hot 100.
For an eighth week in a row, Drake's "Nice For What" holds down the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The rapper's latest single marks the 25th frame in 2018 that he's been at the top of the Billboard chart. What's even more impressive is that he's only three frames away from tying Usher for the most weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 in a year. Usher currently holds the record for the most weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 with 28 weeks while The Black Eyed Peas are only one frame away from 26 weeks.
While Drake currently holds the third position for the most weeks at the top of the Billboard charts, the rapper also holds the fourth position with 19 weeks in 2016. At the rate Drake's been on this past year, it seems likely we'll see him dethrone Usher's best.
