Way before Jennifer Lopez was dating Alexander Rodriguez and sharing their many adventures together as a happy couple, the "All I Have" singer was linked with Ben Affleck back in 2002. That same year was the time Jennifer dropped off the video for her popular song "Jenny From The Block," that featured an appearance by her former boo.
Today, Jennifer will be receiving the MTV Vanguard Award at the award show and in light of her milestone moment she took to Instagram to share a clip of the first video off her album, This Is Me...Then filled with throwback photos of J Lo, Ben and some of her first paparazzi moments.
"It was probably my most personal album ever...and honestly my favorite album I’ve done so far," she captioned the video, talking about her album. "I just loved the sound of it and the sentiments...At that time I truly realized that being an artist meant you have to be vulnerable and bare your heart and soul...it takes courage to do that...to really show who you are at any given moment in time...and this was me then... completely."
She added: "And one of the things that was important for me to remind everyone of in that moment was who I am and who I will always be...don’t be fooled by the rocks that I got I’m still I’m still...JENNY FROM THE BLOCK."
