A$AP Rocky finally delivered his third studio album, Testing, earlier today. The Harlem emcee has been teasing the project for a minute and kicked the campaign off earlier this year with three demos before delivering the single "Bad Company" with BlocBoy JB. Earlier this week, the rapper shared the cover art during his "Lab Rat" performance art piece and shortly after, revealed the project's release date in a cryptic manner. One song that stood out immediately is the Skepta collaboration, "Praise The Lord." The two of them recently linked up in the streets for an impromptu performance of the song.
Shortly after the release of Rocky's Testing, Skepta shared a quick snippet of the two rappers in the streets performing the song. The video features some lo-fi edits of rain and other things mentioned in the lyrics. Both Skepta and Rocky perform it as if they're in front of a massive crowd. It'll be very interesting to see how the two of them deliver this performance in front of an actual audience. The two artists are booked to perform Listen Out Festival in Australia this summer so maybe fans will be lucky enough to witness Rocky bring out Skepta to perform the song.
Rocky's new project brings a lot of different artists together from different eras and genres. Aside from bringing the grime veteran on board, he also brought Dev Hynes of Blood Orange fame, Frank Ocean, FKA Twigs. He also brought some legendary emcees for the tracklist including T.I. and Snoop Dogg.
