Kevin Hart continues to make big moves.

Variety has recently reported that Night School actor Kevin Hart is slated to join the producer's team for an upcoming comedy on ABC alongside Courtney Lilly, an executive producer on the award-winning show, Black-ish.

The upcoming comedy is set to depict the life of a 40-year-old divorced father who attempts to navigate his personal and professional relationships by emulating the swagger he once possessed in his youth while a part of a briefly successful "PM Dawn-type" ’90s hip-hop group. In taking viewers through the main character's journey, it aims to share an endearing message with audiences: "no matter where you are, your best days are ahead of you." It will reportedly be named, Don’t Call It a Comeback.

Hart is set to executive produce the forthcoming single-camera series through his company HartBeat Productions with his colleague John Cheng, the current President of Film at HartBeat Productions.  Another one of the executive producers on board is Dave Becky of 3 Arts Entertainment. ABC Studios will produce while Tiffany Brown and Cheng will act as overseers for HartBeat Productions

Speaking of his co-producer Courtney Lilly's talent and vision, Hart expressed, “Courtney’s idea is funny, relatable and most importantly has so much heart—all the elements that belong in a HartBeat production." He went on to add, “I’m so excited to work with him and everybody at ABC.”
