Once upon a time, Neil Patrick Harris and Whoopi Goldberg worked together on a movie called Clara's Heart when he was still a teenager. In one of the more awkward exchanges to be captured on live television in some time, Harris recounted conversation from the late 80s in which Whoopi promised to make whoopee with the teen actor once he came of age.
In light of the fact Whoopi Goldberg was sitting right next to him, live on The View, Harris decided to go ahead with his story.
"You know, I did my first movie ever with Whoopi Goldberg -- a movie called 'Clara's Heart' -- and we worked together on that," he said as the daytime segment was being taped. "And she told me -- I was 15, 16 years old -- she told me on my last day of shooting that in 10 years time she was going to have sex with me."
Harris' revelation prompted an awkward silence from Whoopi and a row of laughter from the crowd. Not only did Harris excuse Whoopi for the presumed indecency, he even stated that he was looking forward to their chance sexual encounter -- Oh the irony.
Whoopi's snappy retort to Harris' joke they go ahead as planned: "Well, if I can find it, you can have it!"
