The ABN alumni who recently spoke out in defiance of his city's radio circuit is setting the bar even higher in the final quarter of 2018. The answer to my riddle, and perhaps the circle of life, is of course Trae tha Truth. As inconspicuous as it may sound, Trae has a project lined up with Atlanta rappers Gunna and Young Thug called Static. Believe it or not, Trae shared the news himself on social media, along with the artwork to accompany the project. Taking heed of his collaborator's interest in slithering imagery, the cover features a king chess piece enveloped by a snake.
Thugger's Instagram remains a vacant plot of Internet real estate following his arrest and subsequent release on bond. Gunna hasn't posted about the project either, likely still in the midst of his campaign run with Lil Baby for "Drip Too Hard." Until that single loses its luster, there's no reason to plot too far ahead.
For Trae the Truth, this would be his first action since delivering his 48 Hours Later mixtape in late July. The OG gravitas he demonstrated on 48 is but one energy pack in his-near limitless supply. Gunna and Young Thug could stand to take notes.
