It's been a bittersweet weekend for the notorious rainbow-haired rapper. After Tekashi 6ix9ine surprised fans with the release of the Nicki Minaj assisted "FEFE," his name was ringing bells in all the right ways. Yet as we've seen so often before, young rappers have made habits out of Instagram flexing, often showing off hundreds of thousands in diamond encrusted jewelry. In fact, 6ix9ine's chain collection are as recognizable as the man himself, with the latest addition even sporting a piece of his trademark locks.
Sadly, the young rapper's "FEFE" momentum came to a grinding halt after he found himself reportedly kidnapped, pistol-whipped to the point of unconsciousness, and robbed of nearly one million dollars in assets; read our report on that situation right here. After spending time in the hospital, Tekashi made time to call his homie Akademiks, where he assured fans he was feeling alright, despite suffering from "concussion damage." However, it doesn't take long for 6ix9ine to put forth his own theories about what went down.
"It was an inside job," says 6ix9ine, off the bat. After Ak presses his line of reasoning, Tekashi elaborates, stating "it wasn't no outside n***as. It's n***as that know how the king of New York moves, you know what I'm saying? The only person that can get a Pharaoh in Egypt is the person who helped build the fuckin' kingdom, you know what I'm saying? The n***a that's right next to him. The n***a that know who built that shit, that got the blueprints."
He proceeds to break down the parallels with XXXTentacion, as well as expressing concerns about his already tight circle. "My circle been short, it's just that I opened it with the wrong n***as," he explains, after toying with the notion of disavowing jewelry altogether. Peep the entire stream below, and pray for 6ix9ine.
